A bit late now but I should have mentioned WeSwap pre-paid Mastercard . You load it with your local currency and you can exchange it for many other currencies at more than competetive rates, far better than the bank rates and no charges when you use it with a currency that you have loaded. You can also make fee free cash withdrawals of €200 or equivalent.

The rate they use is that published by xe.com,which is the current trading rate and they charge a small commission on swaps but if you are prepared to wait a few days it is as little as 1%

I have a card with GBP and CHF Swiss francs loaded for when I am travelling. Naturally I load it with Euro and could use that as well.

I can't recommend it highly enough thumbs
