I have great news for Jays (and all, I presume) when he reads this.

WIth his seat available for sunday and because:

a) this a friendly amateur event;

b)I wasn't doing it by the book anyway - too fast - so I wasn't in contention for any podium place;

I gave word to the organizers that my co-pilot had to leave for England early so I would to do the scheduled Sunday climbs solo, unless they didn't see a problem on taking other person or persons up with me in the passenger seat.

Basically they said "do as you wish but if anyone complains formally we'll have to disqualify you".

So ... grin2 ... I opened my passenger seat up and guess who was the first interested person to seat in it?

Rosario Sottomayor, portuguese single seater racer from the 1990's. She said she had noticed the "unexpectedly fast" times the Morgan was achieving so she wanted to see how it was done.

Here a pic of her when she raced

Here a pic now (designated safety car driver for I think ELMS race in Estoril or Portimão)

So, what to do what to do????? scared

GO FASTERRRRR (track was definitley grippier on sunday, maybe rubbered in, maybe temperature) was the only possible answer!

So I managed to do 1:52, shaving 3 seconds from our (mario/Jays) best from Saturday and that meant the "Wild Mogs Racing Team" became second fastest overall, beating the Clio Williams and leaving only the FormulaV car in front of us( by 4 seconds still) !

To say that she was impressed with the car and how it handled would be a severe understatement! In her own words, she was "shocked"! LOL
