Thanks John – Just sent them an enquiry.
Let me know how you get on. I have Devol also, so far so good with them though.
I have Devol's on one of My Morgans. They work ok! I would not change them for Vesconite. However the stainless pins are (IMO) garbage. Change to Hard Chrome Pins. From my experience with Devols is that the KP's wear the bushes do not. Somehow I feel the Devol bushes pick up and hold road grit. Acting like a file on the KP. Also, a consideration, is that the axle tube has been reamed a bit to accommodate the Devol bush system. Peter Mulberry makes bronze bushes oversize to replace the Devol bush. I buy Vesconite rod and make My own bushes. I have a lathe. Vesconite Hy Lube is self lubricating. However I grease the system at installation and once a year at Spring Maintenance time. I also install grease seals top and bottom of the axle tube. Not to keep grease in but to keep grit out. These seals are SKF 9815. The Vesconite factory will make bushes to Morgans specification. I got a quote at one time and the price was OK but the cost of getting them from South Africa to Seattle was not. The only advantage, I see, of Vesconite is the greasing issue. They may last longer than bronze, but not sure of this. I recently replaced bronze bushes on a 2000+8 with 50,000 miles. I think these bronze bushes had at least 20,000 miles left if the KP's were changed from mild steel to Hard Chrome.
Remember, as I live in Seattle, there are not enough Morgans to support a Dealership. I must do My own maintenance. So I suit myself on what materials I use for the wear items. I liked the Australian Mining Engineer's idea and am using Vesconite. But if I lived in the UK. Colin Jones would get the job as the benefit of Vesconite is too marginal to not use Colin's service.
