On the one I showed a picture and sent a drawing I use a 3/4" drive bar with a 3' cheater to get leverage. When it released it did so with a "BANG". Fortunately I was prepared and only loosened the axle nut enough to give a little space. This could do major damage to You or what ever was in its path. I remember using a 3 leg puller and left it for the night. There was a big dent in Mrs. Button's XJ6 door as a result.
