I'm with you on this Simon, with one major difference - I prefer the 911 Carrera as a purer driving experience. Virtually the same performance, 0.2 sec slower to 100 kph for example, but without unnecessary differential/drive shafts all spinning round. If the snow was bad, I'd let the train/plane take the strain for those few weeks each year! snow

If I was persuaded that 4-wd was essential, then I would have to follow Robert and go the Turbo route - 911 Turbo (997 Gen 2 PDK). I have not driven a PDK Turbo, but I am sure from my experience with this box, and all the road tests that this car must be fantastic. woohoo
