Well a little update

Tonight I did two of the scariest things I've ever done on the Morgan

First was removing the metal mirror fixing off the windscreen by taking a jet lighter to heat it up until the glue melted and I could remove it

Pleased to say it worked like a dream and it left just a tiny bit of glue which came off easily with a little gentle scrape and some lighter fluid

Next was removing the dash so I could drill the scuttle to fit the dash mounted mirror

It was very, very scary particularly when I removed the screws and it wouldn't budge so I had to deploy increasingly firm leverage to break it free

In the end I made sure it wasn't attached anywhere else, plucked up a bit more courage and pulled it hard !!

Pleased to say the mirror is now on and firm fastened with bolts through the scuttle forward of the dash held firm by captive nuts and washers
