A couple of years ago at Prescott, in the rain, with my '76 4/4, attempting to exit car, Dixon Smith was standing next to me (kindly holding the driver's door open). He watched for a moment or so before stating "Don't worry. There is NO elegant way to get in / out of a Morgan when the hood is up!"
He did follow it up shortly afterwards to say that the later long door cars were a little easier - and was too polite to mention that if a lost a few stone things would be a lot easier
(but I am just on 5' 10").
