Perry I support your view. You don't sue the receptionist if you lawyer looses a court case. There are some broad points that VW and most other car makers need to address re "optimisation" against the well documented tests performed. They do need to make reparations but not in the stupid manner that it seems to be occurring with government fines above compensation to owners. Will people in the US now buy GM or will they buy Hyundai instead. They do need to make it up for the breach but perhaps in a more positive than putative manner.
The groups cars have been common in our extended family for years. My recent purchase was an Audi. Petrol. It did not put me off. The Morgan's do have a higher emissions than the other cars on the fleet so I have no moral high ground.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
