What the heck is a "grubscrew"?

Can someone show a picture of what they're talking about?

I'm trying to follow along, but having difficulty doing so.


It's a setscrew having no head, typically with a screwdriver or hex slot turn it. Typical application would be to lock something to a shaft where the head cannot be proud of threaded hole.



In this thread the term is being used incorrectly to describe a socket button setscrew although I imagine most this side of the pond would understand what's being discussed.



Please don't ask what a flugel valve is though, or worse still a contra-rotating giggling pin blush rofl
