I have now looked a bit more carefully at scissor lifts and found several that lift to 1.7-2.0 metres height which is stand up height under the car and they are considerably narrower than two post lifts so need less room if you have a narrow space , so I realise that Tim (Hamwich) was right , good choice Tim , I think that is a good choice after all !
