Morgan take new cars out on a test route as part of the final checks. Damn good idea.
A nice mix of roads with bends, hills, junctions, road surfaces.
They can then check that there are sufficient rattles, leaks etc! Only kidding!
In factory tests are only a preliminary to get the engine running and basic " is everything working re lights etc.".
When a garage has worked on a car I would hope they did a test drive too. New brakes? Short drive to test and bed in etc..
I have a route I use for a test drive. Quiet road so no traffic worries. Straight stretch for brake test, steering feel. Using the same route also enables the feel of the car to be compared before and after. I adjusted my new shocks by tests there as I am aware of the road surface/bumps.
I am sure Morgan will sort out this incident. I doubt if the press will do an update though, unless the unlucky home owner is a pillock who will expect huge compensation in an embellished claim.
