Apart from the Lift-a-dot fasteners, remember to undo the rear fittings first before the front when removing the hood, and fit the front fixings first before the rear when mounting the hood.
If your hood is a bit tight (vinyl hoods in cold weather are especially prone to this) there's a chap called John Taylor (
www.morganhoods.com) who makes excellent swivel fittings that make the whole process of fitting a trad hood dead easy. You will also want to buy one of his storm covers, they are truly excellent.
