My original kingpins were replaced at around 50,000 km. I greased them before and after every long trip but did not grease them during the trip though I usually try to get them greased before the return trip if it is to the UK or somesuch. I would say that on average they are greased every 3,000 km.

The wear was actually starting to affect the steering geometry.

The replacements are stainless and I hope they last a bit longer.
