One is quite limited in this 175/65 x 15" size in France, as the majority of cars which use this size are either quite old or small economy cars. Therefore the majority of tyres are either cheap rubbish from India and China or economy orientated with compounds hard enough to knock nails in. Most owners in France seem to have gone for the Dunlop SP Sport. It seems extraordinary that Morgan made a correct choice with the original Yokohama but then blotted their copybook by opting for a motorcycle sidecar tyre for the front, whose sidewalls are not designed to take much if any side loading. The improvement with the Excelsior Comp H's was very noticeable.
15 inch tyres are getting to be a problem for older high performance cars with the tyre manufacturers making fewer and fewer sizes in Z rated tyres. For the back of my 1977 Porsche RSR, I cannot now buy any road tyres in the correct 275 or 265/45 x 15" size and have to use street legal race tyres, either Michelin TB15 or Pirelli P7 Corsa Classic. I and a number of RSR owners have asked the FIA if they will homologate 16" wheels at the rear, to allow us to use road tyres, which don't arrive with virtually no tread on them and last longer than 1500 miles. The FIA, what a surprise, is being less than helpful.

Wilson, can't you just get one from one of the bigger European suppliers like Delticom (trading as mytyres.co.uk over here), or pneus-online.com (also Germany or Poland I think, despite the name)??? These folks deliver everywhere and then you should be able to get another Yoko. Or order it from the UK and have it shipped. Safer that risking upsetting the nice balance you already have surely?!
