I didn't find mine over powered - nor did it have a rev hang issue. But the engine sounded like a bag of spanners at around 2,750rpm, very rattly. Fun car to drive hard - heavier and more planted than the +4.
Interesting about the engine noise, as the one I tried also sounded very 'snarly' above 3000rpm or so. Is that a trait of that engine, I wonder? This particular car also had sports silencers fitted which made it rather loud (too loud and uncomfortable for me), so it was a bit of an audio assault from both the front and rear of the car at times during my test drive. At least it's confirmed for me that if and when I get myself a Roadster I'll stick with the standard exhaust system.
If only they did a different dash...
