Sigh...It may be down to a faulty connection at the solenoid and also a failing battery. I have fixed the faulty and connection and cleaned up the terminals and she is not fine. However, a good look at the alarm shows a mess of wiring and cheep connectors and the alarm has to go for peace of mind if nothing else.
