Talk in the industry among pilots is that Ryanair have lost over 200 pilots in recent months to competitors - Middle East airlines, Jet2, and Norwegian Airlines and a few others

Ryanair have been trying to cover these losses through increased hours on those pilots that remain but because leave is heavily regulated they are loosing weeks worth of hours rapidly

Market forces - they have been paying the lowest wages to self employed pilots and crews with no pensions to keep low operating costs and fares

They are training pilots so that they have to work so many years with them but as soon as that period is up, they are leaving
