Mario, the people of Fraserburgh will be delighted. The word beautiful has rarely been used in any connection with their town!
Inland from Aberdeen there is a Castle Fraser which also has nothing to do with me.
Well done Callum for such an epic trip. I think 22 years ago I was on business up at Inverness and drove for a meeting in Fraserburgh without a hotel room booked and stopped and asked a guy at the petrol station on the approach to the town where the best place was to stay. He said to me "Well there is the Alexandra Hotel which is grim and the Station Hotel which is less grim - and that's it!!" So the Station Hotel it was. I was the only one staying there and they were actually very friendly even if the room was a 60's time warp. Next morning for breakfast the lady took my order for a full Scottish and I could then hear a car start up. About 45 minutes later and still no breakfast I heard a car come back and about 15 minutes later it appeared. I'm sure on the plate was a whole pack of sausages, pack of bacon, whole tin of beans, 4 eggs and the plate could have fed the 5000! I then realised I must haveeen the first person to stay in a while so they'd had to go out and get the food to cook my breakfast.
