ah, yes, but will the next Aero have a petrol engine?
How about this model plan, to get from the S5 to S6 Aero:
- Geneva 2015 Morgan announces S5 Aero
- Geneva 2016 Morgan announces electric three wheeler (done)
- Geneva 2017 Morgan announces some watches, for those with no sense of irony
- Geneva 2018 Morgan announces delivery dates for electric 3 wheeler (there's a delay 'cos yikes, that's proving kinda tricky)
- Geneva 2019 Morgan announces Trad with Aero chassis & hybrid power from 1st gen BMW i3
- Geneva 2020 Morgan announces Aero S6e concept (known to all as the sexy aero) using 2 beefed up E3W power units, and a lot more battery, to produce a similar 250 mile range & 315bhp/ton power to weight as the S5 aero
- Geneva 2021 Morgan starts to sell the 'new trad' aero chassis hybrid with 2nd gen BMW i3 powertrain
- Geneva 2022 Morgan starts to sell the Aero S6e, but now with the i8 powertrain
B-)
Will
Will, I largely agree, but please let me revise according to my crystal ball?
Geneva 2018 Morgan Announces a run out Aero model using 20 or so "discovered" V8s.
Geneva 2018 Morgan announces a new hybrid platform
Geneva 2019 Morgan announces the Aero 6 and 4 , powered by the BMW Straight 6 and 4, both as pure petrol and hybrid versions.
Geneva 2020 Morgan announces the new 3/4, powered by the BMW 3 cylinder engine and the +4, powered by the BMW 4 cylinder motor. These will be built using a new "Aero Inspired" platform. The ladder chassis is, finally, retired.
