That's why I stick with it on my Plus 8 - if it's good enough for Peter Morgan it's good enough for me. Both my Plus 8's have done well using this system with care.
These remote greasing systems have had a few problems according to posters on here too.
It is essential to get under for a spanner and visual check too so why not do it properly.
Another reason being that I like keeping my cars as original as possible - I don't like badges, spotlights and bits of neoprene and plastic everywhere, I prefer the clean look.
I can't say that the prospect of having 1/4" balls is particularly appealing either
