We've had three setees since 1979.

The first one was handed down in the family.
The second and third were new.

We still have our original "sideboard" and dining table and chairs from 1979..................................

The late petrol head and womaniser Alan Clarke once made a very snobby put-down about Michael Heseltine, describing him as "The kind of man that had to buy his own furniture".

Some of the furniture in our cottage was here when we moved in over 30 years ago, the wardrobe must be 90 years old or more. It'll probably still be here when the house clearance team move in after we're dead. Hopefully it will get sold at auction and someone else will use it for another 90 years.
