I hate to break it to you dedicated followers of fashion, but to the rest of the world we look like a bunch of mad old buffers anyway, our choice of headgear is not going to make anyone go from "Look at those daft old sods in their weird old jalopies" to
"Gosh, what handsome debonaire and dashing young blades! I must make their acquaintance immediately!"
