It’s a good point as it’s difficult to see, I just do a couple of squirts each time I grease and hope it’s OK

I think the thing to remember is that if you do it every 300-500 miles, I don’t think you can go too far wrong

I just make sure if excess is coming out that it’s not going to get on the brakes so I just use a bit of rag or card to wipe off


I pumped a lot of grease in yesterday. i imagined it would appear on the kingpin behind the spring. I expect it's down my trouser leg instead, I'll have a look.


There is a theory from a very experienced long time Mog owner and friend that a oil instead of grease is better going in from the top as it runs down but I don’t know exactly how or what he uses

This current Mog is the first time I’ve had a nipple on the top
