+1 for the factory Stage 1 pipes. They are certainly loud when you're "getting on it" a bit, but I don't find them objectionable during part throttle cruise. And a helmet or at least ear plugs are recommended for long distance high-speed cruising anyway.
Additionally, they partially mask the noise of the bevel box and various rattles, so a double benefit :-)
