I have always found Izal to be excellent as an alternative to fine emery paper.
That’s a coincidence because I prefer using sandpaper to wipe my arse
Funnily enough I researched Izal toilet paper a while ago as I just couldn’t understand why anyone thought it a good idea to use tracing paper to wipe one’s bottom and resented schools and institutions who subjugated us to such horrors
Izal was a complete con invented by an entrepeneur who wanted to sell as much stuff as possible impregnated with carbolic acid which was a by product of a nearby coking plant which he was able to get free
He advertised it as medicated to help save our bottoms and hands from disease and germs but it was all utterly complete rubbish and public institutions fell for it
