When I read the initial question just one song came into my head: Jailhouse Rock by Elvis Presley. I had grown up with sixties and seventies music and had gravitated towards “heavy rock” (as it was known then) and punk was emerging. I had dismissed Elvis Presley as an old has-been - “parent’s music”. Then for some reason I heard Jailhouse Rock playing somewhere and it just hit me!

I love all types and genres of music and most of my great memories are linked to one piece of music or another. But that song had the most impact on me.
