I just bought one, great fun and very complex bit of kit.
Oz rules are firm but fair and fairly simple. Along with a few simple others rules like proximity to people or emergency services, We are not allowed above 120m and must be at least 5.5km away from a controlled aerodrome or Helicopter landing site.

Drones are a great hobby just like Morgan’s are, but in any hobby you will get the occasional dickhead .
