The technology to take over control of the majority of drones and "hijack" it or just crash it has been around for years. Its relatively inexpensive all you need is the incentive to buy it and someone trained to operate it.
Maybe Gatwick will consider it now, maybe others will learn from their experience and do likewise. There again maybe not.


My assumption was that while they allowed the disruption to continue they at least had a chance to catch the perpetrator?
