The stainless steel dashboard was a labor of love I did over the winter of 2017. I redesigned the central panel adding a radius at top and repositioned the tach/ speedo cutouts. I made templates for the central and side panels including cutouts and holes to be drilled. Very precise measurements. I sent the templates to FPM Metals in Nebraska. They scanned the templates into their CAD/CAM software and the panels were very precisely laser cut out of .030 inch stainless steel. They engine turned the panels with DGL 50 pattern and sent them back to me.
I redesigned the tach/speedo support brackets and had a machinist make these from my templates.
I designed the tach and speedometer bezels and made precise 2 dimensional templates with all needed measurements. These were milled out of solid stainless steel and polished by local machinists.
After everything was finished I installed everything and luckily it all fit perfectly.
It was a lot of fun to see this all come together.
