Craig, I have seen somewhere - don't know if it was here or elsewhere, that an italian Morgan specialist does a badge bar specifically for mounting spot/fog lights. Be buggered if I can find it now though.
I think a set of 'period' looking spots would look great on the front of my 4/4 but share your reservations about drilling into the bodywork.
Try the Italian dealer, Borgi for a spot lamp solution.
I just saw this. The photos that I took just after I had the Borghi badge bar and driving lights fitted are
in this thread. The bar is anchored to the overiders and the cabling is hidden behind the overiders.
