To fit individual throttlebodies to either the Duratec +4 or sigma engined 4/4 you have to use a piggy backed ECU
This is primarily because the Ford ECU fitted to the cars not only controls the engine but also runs the instruments through a CAN system.
The instruments simply will not work if the ford ecu is removed
I can attest to this having been the senior race and development engineer at RTCC for nearly ten years and having developed many of the products RTCC now sell
