Very sad. I never heard of this before except in Italy where one driver pretended a Mog owner had hit his car & sctached the Mogs wing with mud in his hand.
Something similar happened to my wife in the family car ( about as undistinghuished as you can get) here in the UK. It was his way of getting his car repaired at someone elses expense.
For that matter we had a boat "keyed" in the club compound one winter. The guy who did that had mental issues and it was the only way he could get back at a school teacher with a vicious tongue who had given him a tongue lashing.
Two cases, two very different motives.
