You are right Quentin about race tracks, so race cars where right hand drive.
About road cars, they where right hand drive until 1930-1932 for ordinary cars and until WW2 for luxury cars (Bugatti, Delahaye, Delage, Horchkiss, Hispano.....) because they were drove by personal drivers so they can open the rear right door for lady as soon as they stop and as they where sited on right side, the owner sited left rear could see the road without any obstruction !.
