The penalty was ridiculous. When you watch what happened in real speed (not in slow motion) I think it is obvious Vettel was trying to keep the car pointed in the right direction.

And you can also argue that Hamilton, faced with a "barely in control" car right in front of him should have lifted, thus avoiding a potentially dangerous situation. But of course he gunned for the opening (as he should, they're racing drivers, not glorified car chauffeurs)
