I fitted one to my 4/4 and it did take a bit of trial and error to get it working correctly. The hinged end is definitely not precision engineered!
It rattled on lift off but a bit of padded tape sorted that with no adverse effect on function.
I recall others in TM have had conventional pedals fitted as a third alternative.
Maybe they will give info.
