The Chips Away man quitted £180 to blend the paint in and clear coat the panel, including removing the rear light unit and reflector.
MG Cannon want £600 to do essentially the same thing.
Can't decide which to use. The difference is significant.
I'm tempted to use the Chips Away guy and if the job isn't goo get Cannon to re-do it.
Peter,as you are probably aware,Chipsaway is a franchise so only as good as the guy doing the work.

That said, they can and do do some amazing smart repairs.I don't know if it is still the case, but they used to used a fairly thin lacquer (PC52) to blend the repair onto existing lacquer.
This was
not a two pack and was prone to dulling over time and could also be affected by e.g. petrol which could dissolve it!
This was a few years back before they went to water based so it may have changed
Most body shops, if doing a part repair, use an agent to
'melt' the edges of the existing lacquer slightly and allow the new , two pack lacquer to blend in.
