So it seems clear that the operation of the heater valve swapped round in about 1994 or so. Mine is push for on, pull for off.
I used to have difficulty remembering which was was on or off until a friend pointed out that Morgan owners are much too polite to have any control function which requires you to "Push Off" - so push must be for On.
