I ran a VW Phaeton V10 for 110,000 miles and the front lower ball joints went. It weighed more than 2.5 tonnes and had a massive V10 iron block engine resting on them.

The Coupe has the same issue as Peters car at only 33,000 miles. It's not so difficult to work out the issue here.

The VW was £150 a side to replace on exchange and took two hours a side to fix.

I do hope the new CX is engineered to reflect issues like this.
