Heaters in Mogs are normally pretty powerful beasts.
I removed the Smiths Fug Stirrer from the footwell, as it was completely ineffective. I've fitted an upgraded heater, but the fan (even on the lowest setting) soon cools the matrix and engine too much and the heat drops. (it reads at the bottom of the 'N' on the gauge)..
I'm hoping the combination of electric fan, and new thermostat will get the engine up to temp quicker, and then maintain heat better.
