The bathtub of madness is a couple of days away from arriving and since I don't have a dealer to take me through the car here I was hoping some of the veterans here could take me through the list of things to avoid doing on a new engine,transmission etc ...
1. Is the engine already broken in ?
2. If no is there a mileage-rpm guideline to abide by
3. Is there a tutorial somewhere to move the pedals backwards/forward?
4. Is the engine oil hungry ?
5. Any preferred oil ?
6. I live in a hot country - any tire pressure I should follow ?
7. How long does the car take to cool down before you can safely cover it ?
8. is there an FAQ with the usual faults and issues new cars face ? Or things to monitor that tend to fail quickly ?
That should be a good start of things. Haunting this forum has made me extra cautious and I want to make sure i'm extra aware.
