My 3 Wheeler engine has recently started to cut out unpredictably at most speeds, either with power on or overdrive. it does not do this when idling. Just an instant cut out, no sign of rough running or back firing. This seems to happen every 30-40 km. No dash warning lights observed. The total mileage is 6,000 km.
It won't restart on the starter if I leave the ignition on. However it restarts instantly if I turn the the ignition key off & on. With experience I have found that at motorway speeds I can restart instantly by leaving the car in gear & the clutch engaged & quickly turning the ignition key off & on. The immobiliser hasn't engaged with these adventures.
I have been back to the Sydney service agent who have checked the car & are nonplussed. Have checked all the obvious things like wiring connections & fuses.

It is always an adventure driving my 3 Wheeler but the sudden loss of power can be rather stressful for a 91 year old.

Hoping someone can suggest a solution.

Happy motoring,
Ken.
