I recommend the Peter Dron book on M3Ws. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Morgan-Wheeler-back-future/dp/1845847636

Also not so sure about having an open top car under a cover ie not in a garage. I did keep my Caterham 7 for about a year under a cover but of course that had a hood. The tonneau under a cover should work OK but not sure the damp would do much good to the car... of course in the S of France or Florida it might be a different story! I would consider paying RTCC to garage it!

I live in Earley and I hadn't realised that RTCC are no longer an official dealer either, nor had they told me. From what I saw when I ordered mine from them in 2016, they had a close long term relationship with the factory so I'm more than a bit surprised. Mine is due for a service in the spring, so I might take it elsewhere.

As for keeping it outside, I would avoid if you can. I have lockup garages in Reading where I keep the toys that I have no space for at home, rented through a local agent. Or rent space from RTCC, but your access is a bit restricted.
