I must admit, that I‘m still torn apart. If I had the money, I would certainly buy both. At the moment, one day I think, that a Morgan is the only one to go for, but he other day, it’s the Healey.
The owner of the Healey is a, I wold not say, „friend“, but a chap, I used do work with, whom I know more than 20 years and whom I see regularly. His Healey is, without any doubt, a very good one.
On the other hand, there is the „little old lady“ +8 who owns it since more than 20 years, and sells it, because she ordered a new +6. I don‘t know the maintenance history yet, but the car is in the shop now, and everything „obvious“ is being done.
There is just one thing, where I am very concerned with the +8. That is the Lucas injection. How reliable is it? I mean… Lucas does not have the best reputation out there… The SU carburettors from the Healey are so much less frightening…
Anyway… I‘m looking forward driving both and then, listen to my heart.
