That‘s correct, Dave. At least, they should not damage other people‘s cars

I did not go to my dealer today. The insurance expert, must see the damage, so I’ll wait until then. To keep the car on the road, until the repairs are done, I removed the bumper, and installed a holder, with my number plate, on the bumper attachments:

Doing that, I noticed, that the left one (looking at the picture) is higher, than the right one. You can see it, when looking at the bolt heads. To „maintain“ the damage, didn’t bend it in place (which could have been easily done), but I played around a bit with the holder and the number plate, to make it look less obvious. I suppose, that, when backing up, the SUV‘s tire thread lifted the bumper and bent the attachment.
I also noticed, that both attachments are about 3mm to the right which makes the number plate location a bit off the center (again looking at the picture). But everything underneath looks straight, so, probably, it came that way from the factory . Plus, the Impact did not come from the side.
