In Brazil cars must run on E25, that is 25% ethanol. Given that BMW, Mercedes and others have "global" engines, one wonders what additional changes are needed to run on E25.

My A35 has E5 and E10 logos next to the fuel cap, and 98 (95) ROB logos. the handbook says that running 95 RON will degrade performance and 93 RON can be used, but with a "significant" loss of power.
I would expect BMW Turbo motors to be the same.
