This foam filled aluminium fuel tank is for a 1965 4/4 Competition, being rebuilt after a crash last year
Destined for the Spa 6 hr historic race meeting the original 90 ltr fuel tank that I made for the car 8 years ago wasn't deemed quite big enough, so this one is 115 ltrs....
It should allow the car to do the entire race with only a single fuel stop

With the historic competition cars we choose to run a pick up tube to each rear corner of the fuel tank, and then twin pumps for both excellent fuel scavenging and redundancy.
I hate shoddy looking hardlines so even though no one will ever see the the inside of the tank, I like to make sure the tube runs are just right...
