No worries Heinz - I think we are in agreement anyway. Ironically I would have expected a good soldered joint to offer lower resistance than a cold joint. Its generally considered with stranded cable in high vibration environments the latter is better though by not introducing stress points, possibly resulting long term in a break if the full joint is not properly supported.
