I remember this happened with mine , as I can remember people suggesting someone was borrowing it without me realising ! (Not easy with the steering wheel removed 😀)
I'm afraid I can't remember how it was cured , as it wasn't a continuous problem . I'm wondering if it was related to the rectifier packing up .
