wrapping the complicated curves of the console would be tricky and probably best left to a pro.;I'm still not convinced it would look 'right' when/if completed .....

I investigated hydrographic dipping a while back as I think this would solve some of the issues with curves, etc.-

Sadly, at the time, an 'engine turned' pattern was not available.

Kevin, having re-ignited my interest in this,I have found this guy in the States who does custom graphics for dipping -

You would still need to either buy a dipping kit or (probably more realistic) supply the custom film to a local dip specialist.

As the console gets a lot of wear/abuse, the 'dip' could then be 2K lacquered to give it a bit more resilience

Still a lot cheaper than a new console (if they were even available confused2 )
