Its easier the first few times lifting it but once youve done it a few times you can do it on the ground - its a question of knowing what tools work best (If your stuck I will dig out the ones I use). as far as filling it goes the level is correct when it stops coming out of the top hole on level ground - so I usually slightly over fill it and leave it with the drain container under until it stops running back out!. I use a long pipe with a funnel at one end and an angled Au tube at the other which has been cut to jam in the hole. Good luck its very doable
